Mission Landscape Culture: Meet Regional Manager, Mario

Part of what makes Mission Landscape so successful is the dedication of our long-term employees. These team members have been with us for many years and have shaped our company into what it is today. We are grateful to have their experience and expertise on the team as we continue to expand.

During this time, we are considered an essential business. Our team is taking extra precautions and following all CDC guidelines and recommendations to keep ourselves and our clients safe, so that we can ultimately keep the communities we care for maintained and safe. If your business or association is in need of landscaping, maintenance, or any other service we offer, reach out to us

Our passion for landscaping starts with our employees, so company culture is very important to us. The team members who have worked at Mission Landscape for decades are the true leaders in our company. They exemplify our core values through their hard work and dedication.

We sat down with one of our Regional Managers, Mario, to talk about his experience working at Mission Landscape:

What’s your role at Mission Landscape?

“I am a Regional Manager at Mission Landscape. As a regional manager, I manage three AM’s by providing guidance and being responsible for their portfolios. I supervise the job quality of our projects and create quarterly QC reports. I also assist our teams with bids on new projects. ”

One of the aspects that we are most proud of regarding our team is employee longevity. Because they have been here for so many years, our long-term employees understand the ins and outs of Mission Landscape.

How long have you worked at Mission Landscape?

“As of May of 2020, I will have been working at Mission Landscape for 30 years.”

Most of our long-term employees have grown into their positions. They have started as entry-level employees and have worked their way up to the management level.

How have you grown since working at Mission Landscape?

“Yes, originally I started as a Laborer. I am currently a Regional Manager.”

Keeping our employees happy and excited to come into work every day is our priority. Without happy and motivated employees, we cannot complete our projects successfully.

What has kept you here for so many years?

“There are many things that have kept me working at Mission Landscape for so many years. First, our great owners, Wayne and David DuBois. We also have great company culture, we receive our paychecks on time, there are various promotion opportunities, and overall the company truly cares about their employees and clients.”

Our long-term employees have witnessed firsthand how Mission Landscape has advanced over time.

How have you seen the business grow and evolve over the years?

“When I started, we had 40-50 employees. We have grown rapidly since then. Now, we have approximately 500 employees. This is due to David’s dedication and passion for the landscape industry.”

Mission Landscape is more than a company to us; we are family. Our employees are the glue that holds us together, and they contribute to our growing success.
